Job Description

Production Assembler

Greenville, TX

2nd shift - 5:00 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. (Monday through Thursday)

Pay Rate: $15.00 an hour

Job Duties:

  • Assembler will be working on assigned production line and will be required to follow SOP for specific job assignment.
  • Measure, cut and assemble door units. Assist a variety of functions with manual labor tasks as needed.
  • Works under immediate supervision.
  • Verify materials being used is correct by reading the bill of materials. Ensure materials meet quality expectations.
  • Palletize, wrap, and label units as needed. Assembles fabricated parts to relatively large or heavy subassemblies and complete units.
  • Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications.
  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
  • Verifies that components are being placed in the correct position per SOP. Repeats tasks until entire door stack is complete.
  • Cleans up work area when shift ends. Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment. Solid verbal and written communication skills.
  • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Strong analytical skills & Knowledge of all door components.
  • Efficient with multiple manual machines and pneumatic equipment such as Nail Gun, Screw Gun, Router, Tape Measure, Square.
  • Required to stand for long periods of time.
  • May involve some repetitive motions - bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of parts and part containers.
  • Ability to organize and maintain detailed records. Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to multi-task.
  • Read and understand bill of materials.
  • Must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity, and cold.
  • Must be able to read a tape measure and have basic math skills
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must demonstrate solid teamwork abilities
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred not required. 1-2 Years in the field or related area
