Quality Assurance Inspector/Inventory

Marathon is seeking reliable candidates for multiple Quality Assurance Inspector / Inventory positions available immediately in Portland, OR!!

This dual-role exists to ensure quality and food safety through the effective inspection of product and the proper recording of quality data as directed by the QA supervisor.

Duties include, but may not be limited to:

- Completes daily quality reports, including Production and Quality Certification Sheets.
- Completes Hold Request Forms as needed.
- Performs validation/verification of all jobs again line lead paperwork.
- Completes quality reports and distributes to management daily.
- Maintains complete and accurate records using paper and pen as well as computer.
- Accurately records/maintains damages for each job.
- Operates and navigates the client computer system.
- Reconciles raw product, materials, labels, damages and finished goods
- Provides customers reports as required.
- Recording and correcting all findings on the Quality Certification sheet.
- Performs sensory evaluations of products.
- Conducts periodic line audits to ensure data accuracy.
- Conducts GMP audits to ensure compliance.
- Performs cycle counts on jobs to close with less than a 1% variance.
- Tracks production by lot and expiration date in order maintain full traceability.
- Performs other duties and assists other team members as required
- Creates pallet tags for each job with accuracy.
- Assists with month end inventory counts and processes.
- Performs production functions process checks, including pre-operational checks, sanitation verifications, label checks, weight checks, package integrity checks and product sampling
- Participates in Department and Company Safety Program.
- Understands the safety requirements that pertain to the job.
- Follows the hazardous materials safety procedures when choosing/mixing cleaning solutions.

Requirements include, but may not be limited to:

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- (1) year of QA / Inventory preferred
- Ability to operate computer systems easily
- Ability to write simple letters and memos
- Ability to add and subtract 2 digit numbers
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand, walk, crawl, bend, etc.

Pay rate is $20.26 per hour.

1st Shift hours are 4:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with Saturday OT available.
2nd Shift hours are 4:00 PM to 4:00 AM, Monday through Friday, with Saturday OT available.
