Millwright (1st and 2nd Shift)

Job Description

We are now hiring for 1st & 2nd Shift, Direct Hire, Millwright / Mechanic in Union City, CA!


The Millwright / Mechanic  is responsible for coordinating maintenance orders with a maintenance crew performing these functions: fabrication, troubleshooting, installation, change-overs, lay-out, and maintenance of or to plant equipment.


Job duties include, but are not limited to:


*Answers mechanical and electrical trouble calls, makes repairs as quickly and safely as possible

*Troubleshooting skills to identify the defective component

*Works well with instructions to plan, install, assemble, fabricate, lubricate, test, adjust, inspect, dismantle, change-over, repair and maintain the plants mechanical/electrical equipment to fabricates both some electrical and mechanical components

*Uses blueprints and schematics to rapidly troubleshoot and repair some electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment. *Troubleshoots and repairs equipment working without blueprints or schematics when they do not exist. Improvises safe repairs when exact replacement parts are not available

*Responsible in general for the starting, stopping and uninterrupted performance of all mechanical and electrical equipment throughout the working shift, including preventative and predictive maintenance

*Operates power trucks, manlifts, cranes and other mobile equipment as needed to make mechanical and electrical repairs or adjustments

*Works safely, using Tag Lock and Test procedures to insure all power sources are removed before work begins. Aids other employees in being safe and insures that they follow Tag *Lock and Test procedures. Assists in safety related activities and huddle meetings

*Works as a team, providing technical training and leadership to other team members. Working well under pressure, and prioritizing competing work requests

*Performs other non reliability tasks as required by the company that training and safety allows


Requirements


*Must have previous Millwright, Machinist or Maintenance Mechanical experience.

*Must have mechanical knowledge, fabrication, piping or relatable skills, some electrical or welding preferred

*High School, GED preferred

*Must have be able to pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screen,Background Check and Physical.


Hours


1st Shift are 4:30 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Overtime may be requested or required. Currently working 10-12 hour shifts.


2nd Shift are 2:30 PM to 2:30 AM, Monday through Friday. Overtime may be requested or required. Currently working 10-12 hour shifts.


Pay rates vary with experience, but ranges from $36.00 to $42.00 per hour and great benefits being offered with this position(Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, Vacation Time, 401K and Tuition Reimbursment)
