Stainless Steel Welder

Job Description
Marathon Staffing is seeking hard-working, reliable candidates for a temp-to-hire, Welder position available immediately in Orlando, FL!!!

Welds items onto ductile iron pipe, including wall collars, thrust collars, threaded outlets, restrained joint rings, anchor rings, and all other welding needs. Works on small projects around the shop fabricating shop needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
• Determine location of welded item according to order requirements. 
• Select correct welding wire based on the application.
• Prepare surface for welding, including grinding pipe surface and removing oil, grease, and other contaminants. 
• Position item on pipe at proper location and orientation and tack weld in place 
• Fully weld the item onto the pipe 
• Design and build machines/equipment/tools required for other locations

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Knowledge and use of welding equipment including TIG or MIG welding, Stick welding
• Ability to follow diagrams, orders for specific needs.
• Ability to follow measurements, use tape measure and apply measurements exactly.
• Stainless Steel Welding a MUST
• Ability to pass a drug test and background check

Pay rate is $22.97 per hour to start!  Benefits upon hire include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Health Savings Account, Flexible Spending Account, 401K and more!

Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, unless asked otherwise.  OT available!!
