Health Program Specialist I - Outbreak Coordinator

Job Description
The Nevada Department of Health and Human Services is looking for a Health Program Specialist. 
This is a long-term, full-time position that pays 24.81/hr.

DUTIES

• Coordinate and conduct outbreak response vaccine planning activities;
• Serve as lead point of contact for information sharing with stakeholders on outbreak response activities;
• Collect and assess NV WebIZ vaccine coverage data to identify areas at risk for an outbreak;
• Other duties as assigned

ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (required upon applying)

• Must know how to use a computer, operate Microsoft Office products. 
• Must have the ability to receive, review and process a variety of documents according to established guidelines, policies, regulations and timelines.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a health science, behavioral science or closely related field applicable to the program area and two years of health-related experience which included researching, collecting, and analyzing data and statistics, developing objectives, protocols, and procedures, providing health education services to target groups or the general public, and/or investigation and prevention of communicable or chronic diseases; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
