Job Description
Marathon Staffing is seeking candidates for a temp-to-perm, Accounting Clerk position available immediately in Phoenix, AZ!! The Accounting Clerk will manage the input and timely payments for accounts payable vouchers and assist with invoice processing. Duties include, but may not be limited to: • Process supplier invoices, maintaining sound control over accuracy, completeness, proper cut-off and recording of liabilities. • Prepare accurate monthly journal entries as directed. • Assist in preparation of management report. • Work on special projects of financial nature as requested. • Work with Human Resources to resolve discrepancies. • Update standard costs and reconcile Inventory sub-ledgers to General Ledger as directed. • Suggest method and procedure improvements to supervisor to increase efficiency and reduce costs. • Participate in departmental cross-training to provide back-up to other finance areas as needed. • Perform other miscellaneous duties, as requested. Requirements include, but may not be limited to: • Associates degree in accounting or finance, preferred. • High School graduate or equivalent with 3-5 years general accounting experience, required. • Proficiency with an ERP system, Excel and Word preferred. • Good verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to pass a background check and drug test. Hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, unless otherwise agreed upon or requested. Overtime may be requested or required. Pay rate is $26.00 per hour and may increase upon full time hire. Benefits upon full time hire include 401K, Flexible Spending Account, Health Savings Account and more!
